Who are you ?
My name is Laurent Poignot aka Faker. I’m a freelance art director living in Paris. I am part of Sixpack family since maybe 1999. Lionel Vivier is like my brother from different mother. He took me on his white horse and we still gallop.
Why do you think you have been invited to be a part of that art show?
When Sixpack told me i had to do a poster for the show, it was a kind of “before Christmas” present. It’s an honour for me to be a part of this art show. To see my work exhibited with guys like Akroe, Cody Hudson or Steven Harrington is a real pleasure.
What is the link between the movie « It was on earth that i knew joy » and your poster?
I watched several times the movie and i focused on a sentence said by the robot JBL. I decided to make a typographic composition with this sentence, it’s like a movie summary in one sentence.
What are your top three favorite movies ?
True Romance (Tony Scott) / The Goonies (Richard Donner) / Une femme est une femme (Jean-Luc Godard). Guess which one comes in first!
What did you learn today?
I learnt that it was better to print CMYK than RGB. I also learnt that Cathy Guetta is a man.
